About Advance NZ
Who We Are:
Advance NZ is a political party with a difference. A truly grassroots movement that has come into existence for the people, by the people. We are an alliance of several minor parties that have joined forces to unite to stand up for greater freedom and democracy for New Zealanders.
What We Stand For:
We stand for a belief in:
- Freedom, sovereignty, and an independent New Zealand
- A fairer political system focussed on solutions for Kiwis, not just politicians
- Creating an innovative economic plan to lead through the challenging post-Coronavirus World
- Boosting investment in infrastructure projects to create jobs and better prosperity
- Reforming social sector policies to deliver fairer outcomes
- Re-balancing foreign policy towards traditional partners like Australia, the US, and the UK
Advance New Zealand wants a fairer New Zealand with a political system that is focused on solutions for Kiwis, not politicians.
We believe in a New Zealand that stands up for our nation's freedom and sovereignty, forging ahead as an independent country delivering high-quality public services, investing in infrastructure to create jobs and better prosperity for citizens, and providing solutions for our economic, social and environmental well-being.
Our Component Parties:
Several parties have joined with Advance to stand for greater freedom and democracy for New Zealanders. These parties include New Zealand Public Party whose leader Billy Te Kahika also entered into an agreement with the leader of Advance (Jami-Lee Ross) to become a co-leader of Advance NZ.
Several other parties have also joined Advance NZ - you can find more about them below.
New Zealand Public Party
The NZ Public Party (NZPP) was founded by Billy Te Kahika in response to the blatant injustice being taken upon the New Zealand people by the current government (Labour/NZ First/Greens).
The party stands for Freedom, Sovereignty, Independence, Transparency, and Accountability.
Reset New Zealand Party
The Reset New Zealand Party was founded by Private Investigator and Intelligence Analyst, Michael Stace.
Reset brings with them decades of investigation expertise and the uncovering of the truth behind why traditionally very little changes in government, regardless of which party is in power.

New Zealand People's Party
The New Zealand People’s Party was established in 2015 with the intention of being the true voice of multicultural New Zealand.
The Party stands for innovative solutions and policies that create a society with safer neighbourhoods, reunite families and equal opportunities for all. The party is supported by many community leaders that hoped to have minorities better represented in parliament.
Key areas of concern are law and order, affordable housing, and immigration. The party has policies aimed at helping first home buyers with their deposit and making repayments easier to help them ensure a life of prosperity and health. Its immigration policies have been designed to make it easier for families of immigrants to reunite and give international students a fair chance to succeed once they enter New Zealand.
The party stood in the 2017 General Elections with 6 list candidates including the then Party Secretary and current leader Anil Sharma.
Direct Democracy NZ
Direct Democracy New Zealand is registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission since February 2020.
The party’s purpose is to inform and educate Kiwis about Direct Democracy. Direct Democracy cites the example of Switzerland where, since 1848, the citizens employ the Tools of Democracy to guide their government. Swiss politicians and political parties are directed to serve the people’s interests. The method operates through ongoing referenda and citizens’ initiatives.
Direct Democracy allows voters to push governments for positive outcomes. Citizens are empowered with the means to keep politicians in check. The government serves the national interest, and everyone makes real progress. Direct Democracy New Zealand is organised by a board of Kiwi elders who promote this wiser, more transparent way for governing our nation.
The goal is to encourage all NZ politicians and parties to abandon selfish concerns. To adopt Direct Democracy is to engage positive citizen participation at all levels of government.
